Los protectores auditivos del tipo tapón desechable E-A-R Classic Superfit 33® de 3M™ E-A-R™, son fabricados con materiales hipoalergénicos, brindan una efectiva e higiénica protección a los trabajadores que se desempeñan en áreas donde los niveles de ruido superan los límites establecidos en el Decreto Supremo N° 594, como por ejemplo, 85 dB(A) para exposiciones efectivas a ruido durante 8 hrs.
El tapón E-A-R Classic Superfit 33® cuenta con un anillo de color naranja que permite visualizar fácilmente si el tapón está bien colocado, facilitando de esta forma su control. La espuma de PVC de recuperación lenta con el cual han sido diseñados estos tapones, aseguran una mayor comodidad y sello al interior del oído. Asimismo, sus características de espuma retardante de fuego y resistencia a la humedad hacen que estos tapones sean ideales para ambientes húmedos y calurosos.

Los valores medios de atenuación para los tapones auditivos Classic Superfit 33®, según lo establecido en las normas ISO 4869, EN 352 y NCh1331 son los siguientes:

De acuerdo a la norma ANSI S3.19-1974, el valor de reducción de ruido NRR es de 30 dB.

Instrucciones de Ajuste
Para que los tapones entreguen la atenuación indicada, resulta fundamental su buena colocación, de lo contrario, la reducción de ruido indicada se puede ver altamente afectada. Para que esto no ocurra siga las siguientes instrucciones:
1) Lave sus manos con agua y jabón.
2) Enrolle el tapón, presionándolo con los dedos de su mano, hasta darle una forma cilíndrica muy delgada.
3) Pase su mano derecha sobre la cabeza y levante con los dedos la punta de su oreja izquierda hacia arriba y atrás.
4) Con su otra mano, introduzca el tapón enrollado hasta el fondo del canal auditivo y deje que este se expanda por 20 segundos, sosteniendo el lado exterior del tapón con su dedo índice.
5) Repita la acción, pero esta vez levantando la punta de su oreja derecha, con su mano izquierda sobre la cabeza.
6) El tapón estará bien colocado si el anillo naranja no sobresale del oído.
