Project STRATOS
"Ground Station for Continuous Monitoring of the Stratosphere Temperature through Measure
of Cosmic Ray Directional Flow"
The objective of this project is
high temporal and angular resolution Cosmic Rays, in order to study the correlations between the Stratosphere Temperature and the modulation of secondary Cosmic Rays and thus be able to perform estimation of said Temperature continuously.
STRATOS-ONE
Several pre-prototypes and prototypes have been developed evolving each system and subsystem, including slow control systems, gas systems, high voltage power systems, low voltage, headend electronics, acquisition system, mechanical engineering, sealed chambers, etc.
STRATOS-2
Complete development of a Cosmic Ray Detection system (hard and soft components of the electromagnetic and especially Muonic components), as well as the associated data storage and management systems.
Computer Systems
Subsystem network management, on-site and remote monitoring of multiple variables, and on-site and remote management of system operation.
PROBES
Development and validation of on-site drilling, verification and calibration systems, as well as other systems.
