Dynascan AB-650 Air Band Radio
DESCRIPTION
The Dynascan AB-650 transceiver is a compact and affordable VHF air band (118-136.975 Mhz) handheld radio specially designed for use in the aviation field* primarily by ground personnel, as well as drone pilots and also by radio listeners.
With an extremely robust polycarbonate housing and a compact size, they make the Dynascan AB-650 Walkie Talkie suitable for outdoor use, even in adverse weather conditions.
Adjustable transmit power
With a transmit power of up to 5 watts, the Dynascan AB-650 gives us the flexibility to reduce the power down to 1 watt if necessary, to extend battery life. The illuminated display shows the battery charge status in the form of a bar graph, and also offers us the possibility of viewing the current battery voltage on the screen.
Easy operation with the VOX function
Thanks to the VOX function, the Dynascan AB-650 allows us to use the device without manually pressing the [PTT] button. When the microphone recognizes your voice, the walkie automatically switches to transmission mode.
Versatile use
In addition to the VFO mode, with which we can directly enter the transmission frequency, the Dynascan AB-650 offers us an impressive 400 memory channels that we can identify with names and alphanumeric characters for easy identification. This programming can be done quickly and easily directly on the device itself, without the need for programming software.
The connection of external headphones is made through a K-type connector (our Kenwood-compatible CB02 connector) which allows the connection of standard connection headphones for FM radios (2 meters or PMR446). For the first time, it is now possible to use an aeronautical radio with any headset without the need for a special adapter. However, a special adapter is required to connect a GA aviation headset with 6.3 and 5.2 mm jacks.
Additional functions
The Dynascan AB-650 has several additional functions, which can be easily accessed from its menu with clear and simple text (in English), such as the stopwatch or flashlight, among others.
