The Midland CT990-EBR radio is a dual-band UHF/VHF transceiver with IP67 certification that allows use in extreme weather conditions, as it is protected from dust and water up to a depth of one meter for 30 minutes. Its large color screen allows great readability thanks to TFT liquid crystal technology. The EBR version has a high-capacity 3600 mAh battery, which is equivalent to approximately 30% more capacity that previous version and, consequently, a longer duration. The previous model lasted around 16 hours, with the current battery around 21 hours. Midland CT990-EBR has a power of 10W and guarantees superior radio coverage performance compared to other devices in the same family that normally transmit at 5W.
Midland CT990-EBR is supplied with two antennas: Long Antenna, which increases the performance of the TX/RX radio, and Short Antenna for better handling. The high-performance antenna and extra clear audio ensure excellent conversations and make Midland CT990 a reliable transceiver in various situations. It has the "Dead Man" function, very useful in case you are alone or isolated. This feature constantly monitors the status of the radio: if it tilts on its side for more than a preset time, it may indicate that a person has fallen; The radio will beep to warn other users tuned to the same frequency.
