Diseño
El adaptador se encuentra dentro de una caja funcional, hermética y robusta sin partes que sobresalgan. Sus dimensiones se adaptan al tamaño de la mano, y es fácil de llevar fijado en la ropa sin que suponga una molestia ni se enganche a otros objetos.
En la parte trasera del adaptador hay una pinza de fijación que se puede girar 360° para que el adaptador se pueda usar del modo más flexible y fácil en cualquier situación. La pinza de fijación puede quitarse si no se desea fijar en la ropa. El adaptador presenta también un ojal de fijación (B), que puede usarse para su fijación.
Botón PTT
El botón de activación de la radio (PTT o Push-To-Talk) está fabricado en un material especial de plástico blando. Éste se encuentra en la parte delantera del adaptador y está diseñado para diestros y zurdos que lleven guantes gruesos. El botón presenta puntos de pulsación que definen la posición de activado y desactivado.
Cable de conexión
El cable de salida tiene un conector para el acoplamiento a la radio de comunicación o al teléfono. El cable del microauricular se conecta a la caja del PTT mediante un conector NEXUS muy resistente, del tipo estándar J11 de Peltor.
El adaptador y en especial el enchufe, está construido para evitar que los componentes electrónicos sean afectados por la humedad (Clase de estanqueidad IP65). La posición del enchufe facilita la conexión y desconexión del microauricular.
