Descripción del Producto
La gama de las orejeras de protección pasiva 3M™ Peltor™ Serie X están disponibles en diadema y la versión montada en casco. Estos productos están diseñados para proporcionar un nivel de atenuación de moderado a muy alto, que satisface las necesidades de una amplia gama de aplicaciones industriales que requieren diversos grados de protección. Correctamente seleccionado y usado, estos productos ayudan a reducir la exposición a niveles peligrosos de ruido y a sonidos fuertes.
La versión de montaje en casco está diseñado para adaptarse a una amplia gama de cascos de seguridad industrial y cabeceras rígidas del Sistema de respiradores de 3M.
NOTA: La versión de Diadema está aislada eléctricamente - a veces referido como "dieléctrico".
Los componentes metálicos de la Diadema han sido cubiertos por un material no conductor para uso en un bajo riesgo de tensión eléctrica (menos de 440 V ac). Dado que no existen normas aplicables a las pruebas de orejeras contra propiedades de aislamiento eléctrico, el producto ha sido evaluado en un laboratorio externo con un un método de ensayo modificado basado en EN397:1995. Durante la evaluación, la corriente de fuga no excedía 1.2 mA cuando la superficie externa del producto se puso en contacto con una fuente eléctrica.
El usuario debe determinar la idoneidad general de este producto para el uso previsto, teniendo en cuenta cualquier otro peligro aparte del ruido para el que se ha probado este producto y su marca CE.

Normas y Aprobaciones
El rango de orejeras 3M™ Peltor™ X han sido testeadas con EN352-1:2002 (diadema) y EN352-3:2002 (fijación casco).
Estos productos cumplen los Requerimientos Básicos de Seguridad tal y como se establece en el Anexo II de la Directiva de la Comunidad Europea 89/686/EEC, y han sido examinados en su etapa de diseño por Combitech AB,. Box 168, SE-73223 Arboga, Suecia. (Organismo Notificado número 2279).
