Los productos de la familia Peltor DECT-Com II ofrecen una comunicación inalámbrica full-dúplex sencilla y eficaz con hasta 9 usuarios activos hablando en conferencia y, de forma adicional, hasta 40 oyentes con la posibilidad de entrada rápida en la conferencia.
En un sistema con más de 9 usuarios, cualquier participante que esté escuchando puede pasar de oyente a también hablar. En este caso el primer interlocutor será entonces cambiado a sólo oyente en la conversación. Los interlocutores que quieran ser activos en la conversición pueden intervenir en un orden "First in - First out". El sistema se encarga de gestionarlo automáticamente.
La unidad portátil DECT-Com II (DC2811) es un transmisor/receptor al que se le conectan los microauriculares. Cuanquier microauricular Peltor con conector J11 “Peltor standard” puede conectarse a la unidad portátil Peltor DECT-Com II. Hay que tener en cuenta que todo sistema DECT-Com II debe tener al menos una unidad base (DC2812).
Las principales características son:
- Unidad base para un máximo de 9 conversaciones simultáneas en una conferencia bidireccional (full-dúplex).
- DECT-Com II también permite tener un número adicional de oyentes, todos con la posibilidad de entrar como ponentes en la conferencia, en cualquier momento.
- Los microauriculares utilizados pueden configurarse con diferentes tipos de micrófonos (dinámico, electret, etc.).
- La comunicación bidireccional funciona con el sistema de VOX (activación mediante la voz), para evitar la transmisión del ruido de fondo a la conferencia.
- Función "All Call" (llamada a todos) para comunicar mensajes comunes para todos los usuarios en todos los grupos, al mismo tiempo (modo simplex).
- Normalmente la unidad portátil se suministrada con una batería recargable pero también es posible suministrar un adaptador especial AC con soporte para instalarla de forma fija.
